Here are members of the 4XFools Off-Road Club, along with a couple of extra friends, celebrating the first ever "Top Less Night" down at the Sidney Dairy Barn. Located in Sidney, IL. This was another one of the 100+ Jeep Clubs celebrating Go Topless Day with AllThingsJeep.com on May 9th 2009.

Celebrating summer at the ice cream stand in your topless Jeep is MY idea of fun! (In fact, we hit up our favorite Cherry Hill Ice Cream in Lunenburg, MA just last night!)

Thanks guys!

The Pirates of Moor Jeep & 4x4 Club of Central Florida - GTD Event

Posted by Jean Wnuk on Mon, May 11, 2009 @ 09:48 AM

Another Go Topless Day Jeep Event. This one in Central Florida.

"What an awesome event!  The Pirates of Moor Jeep & 4x4 Club of Central Florida, ( http://www.piratesofmoor.org/ ) organized a "Coastal Cruise" from Daytona Beach to the beaches of St Augustine Florida and back. We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was clear skies, with a light tropical breeze, low humidity, and 89 degrees.
Thirty six (36) Rigs participated, representing five clubs as well as unaffiliated persons.

  • Pirates Of Moor: 7
  • Mid Florida J/C:13
  • Just Jeeps of Jacksonville: 4
  • Extreme Jeeps: 1
  • Legendary Jeeps: 1
  • Unaffiliated: 10

Thanks to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office for the  "motorcade" escort, and the cities of Daytona Beach, Holly Hill and Ormond Beach, Florida for stopping traffic at all the intersections and allowing our "convoy" to travel without interruption. (a first in THIS area!)  At our turnaround point we had a picnic lunch and some played on the beach and in the surf. We're already planning for 2010, when we plan on doubling  our attendance and seeing you here as well.

Pirates Of Moor Jeep & 4x4 Club of Central Florida"

Boobies and Jeepies

Posted by Jean Wnuk on Sat, May 09, 2009 @ 08:30 AM

Every year around this time, I do a little search engine research. I go to www.google.com and type in "Go Topless Day" to see how many people are writing about our event (happening today, May 9th, 2009) And I'm pleased to see that a lot are. So thank you. But this morning when I did this I clicked on PHOTOS to see what photos popped up in Google search for that phrase.

And I am surprisingly pleased that among all those naked boobies, are assorted references to our JEEP-focused Go Topless Day. In fact, given the history of the other "go topless" phrase, and the focus of it, I am thrilled to even make the Google cut! So while I know we'll never REALLY compete with boobs, we are in amongst them and as you all know...that feels good.  Cheers to Topless Day. Whether your top was on or off today, we hope you had a good time!

JEEP PEOPLE : What to do with your empties.

Posted by Jean Wnuk on Fri, May 08, 2009 @ 09:30 AM

We recycle everything we can, but we started rethinking recycling our empties after seeing what we COULD be doing with them:

 Amazing Jeep Art

I can't say enough good things about the artists I find on etsy. I could spend hours looking at all the great pieces of art there. I've purchased many items, including several one of kind Jeep art pieces. I am also thinking about picking up this cute Beaded Beach Jeep

But, enough playing. I'm closing my etsy.com window and going back to work. ;)

Jeep Foot Pegs aka the CVS

Posted by Jean Wnuk on Wed, Apr 29, 2009 @ 04:47 PM

Ahhh, yesterday it was 90 degrees here and driving around in the topless Jeep, I was wishing I was a dude. Dudes get to use the CVS, and they look cool. I'd just look plain stupid.

"OK, she ain't talking about the pharmacy, what the heck is she talking about?", you are wondering. I'm talking about Jeep Foot Pegs, aka CVS aka the Crotch Ventilation System.

Jeep Foot Pegs

When you take the doors off your Jeep, these Jeep Foot Pegs fit into the empty lower door hinge and give you a comfortable place to put your left foot. They fold back when not in use and a rubber pad protects your paint. We don't recommend them when 'wheelin' because we don't want you sticking body parts outside the Jeep and getting hurt. But for a casual Sunday drive, in 90 degree weather, with the doors off the Jeep and the breeze nowhere to be found, they'll keep the sweat down (if you know what I mean).

$50 will get you set, (one for you, one for your buddy riding shotgun) 2 different models available. Jeep Footpegs at www.allthingsjeep.com

Jeep Folding Camping Chair

Posted by Jean Wnuk on Mon, Apr 27, 2009 @ 04:43 PM

I am so happy to finally have a decent quality Jeep Folding Outdoor Chair in stock at www.allthingsjeep.com. Customers have been asking for this for about 4 years now and there's never been a licensed manufacturer making a Jeep Chair designed for outdoor use. Until now. Check it out.

Jeep folding camping chair

The fine qualities of this Jeep Folding Chair:

- cool mesh "Jeep grille" design on the back keeps my backside from sweating too much

-handy carry bag with shoulder strap and Jeep logo

-cup holder for my water bottle

-nice Jeep green coloring matches the pine trees in my backyard

- big and comfy. Tested by everyone here from a 6'3" 250 pound dude to a 85 pound 8 year old. Everyone gave it a thumbs up.

-My favorite feature: A build in insulated cooler on the right side which will hold a few drinks, a couple of sandwiches and some Oreos.

At $50, you can definitely find cheaper at Wal-Mart, but I think this one will last you a few years and feel good on your tush. In addition, it looks like the front of my Jeep. 'Nuff said.

We'll be bringing them to Go Topless Day in two weeks to give them the full day evaluation. Stop by our booth to give it a test drive!

2 door versus 4 door 2009 Jeep Wranglers

Posted by Jean Wnuk on Sun, Apr 26, 2009 @ 11:59 PM

Ok, today you get my biased opinion on why you should never buy a 2 door Jeep Wrangler JK today if you can afford a 4 door. They are just too darn small!

We just came back from a Florida beach vacation. (It was fantastic, thanks for asking.) When I called the car rental places down there, they all said that they did not have Jeeps (only in Hawaii). So I used priceline.com to get a great deal on a mid-sized econobox. However, once we got down there and were at the Avis counter filling out the paperwork, the counter person happened to ask, "What kind of vehicle do you drive at home?" When we said a Jeep, she smiled and said they happened to have one available for  rent that day, for only $8 more per day. Well, how can you turn that down? We didn't. And ended up piling 2 grown-ups, 2 almost grown-up kids, 4 duffel bags and a computer case (still had to check email/the website) into the back seat/cargo area of a cute little 2 door JK with only 1800 miles on it.

I wouldn't have had it any other way, but man, was that thing small compared to the 4 door I am now used to driving. I forgot how fun but cramped the 2 door is. The kids love the open air, topless feeling. But at the end of every ride, the teenager crawled out of the back seat barely able to move her legs!

So, my take on the 2 door... if you are never going to have more than 2 humans in your Jeep at once, grab one. BUT, if you having growing humans in your family, give them a break, do your part to prevent permanent damage to their growing legs, and let them spread out in a 4 door. They will be grateful.

(And the second lesson for today is that Avis often has Jeep rentals available at their Florida coast counters. Just ask.)
