Jeep Versus Hummer. Who will we hate now?

Boston Red Sox versus New York Yankees. Dogs versus Cats. Chocolate versus Vanilla. And Jeeps versus Hummers. As long as there have been civilian Jeeps and Hummers, there's been a rivalry. Often heated! One of the very first tee-shirts All Things Jeep produced was the "Hummer Recovery Vehicle" Tee. It was a best-seller, providing an accurate perspective of the off-road abilities of these two vehicles (as seen through the eyes of a Jeep dude.)

We sold a lot of these tees until the lawyers at GM contacted us one day and told us to stop selling them or else they would "take action". We were just a little Jeep company. We stopped selling them. But that was probably the first and last time Hummer ever bullied Jeep.

We've always enjoyed the debate, the name calling, the mockery. And the jokes about Hummers. Risque enough for us to not print them here! So, in honor of the passing of the Hummer, a small tribute. Hummer, we barely knew you. Which vehicle will Jeep owners hate now?

I agree with Randa... I WANT ONE!!!
GM should stick to what they do best:taking decent designs and mucking them up for cheaper production. And failing at that, too!

JEEPS 4EVER! Really though, there are two things thats make the difference. Driver skill and the weight/size of the vehicle. hummers and big, heavy, low, and don't have much for articulation. Jeeps are light, small, have good ground clearance, and have decent suspension flex even stock. The H1 is bad@$$, but in order to support its weight it needs a heavy duty I said, JEEPS 4EVER!

we all know who the grand daddy of off roading is...JEEP. hummers are made for pretty boys with little man syndrome and or for those who think they are tough for blowing too much money on a 4x4 . i drive a 2004 wrangler everyday and i am thankful that jeep is there to let me be me and not someone i am not like those hummer drivers.

I can't deny I like the H1, but performance-wise it has nothing on jeeps

I thoroughly enjoyed the video! No need to feel bad for the Hummer guys and girls, they should be able to afford to consistently get pulled out of holes.
